According to him based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 Year 2008 regarding the second amendment of Law Number 32 Year 2004 on Regional Government, regional head dies when the deputy regional head replaces regional head until the end of term of office, he said.
"Deputy Head of Regional or Deputy Head will replace the regional head office to fill the vacant position until his term runs out, while for the post of Vice Regent will be proposed to Parliament for approval," he said.
He said the regional head will submit two candidates for deputy regional head based on proposals from political parties or coalition of political parties that carries the local chief mate in the election of regional head and vice head of region.
"The proposed regional head for the candidate of deputy head of the region will be selected by the Plenary Session of Parliament," he said.
He said the proposed regional heads to fill the vacancy of the deputy head of the area allowed by law if the term of office of regional head still remaining 18 months or more
